How to change my ip adress with my modem?
You can't. your ip is assigned to you by your internet provider. if you need to change it, you need to ask them.
IP is basically an address which is used by your internet provider to find your computer. if you change it, how can anyone find you?

Yes to a certain degree. There are free online service which will tell you a proximate area where the ip address originated from. Proximate meaning metropolitan.
Any more specific and it can be used by sexual predators. that is a very bad thing.
no dude absolutely not because if he uses different systems then everytime it shows a different ip adress but if u download an ip locator u can get the area/country where he lives then u need a software professional to track down the owner. but no way u can do it with having a yahoo id. srry yaar

To a ceratin extent yes by getting the IP you can do a Neo trace and find an approx place then it has to be ISP which has to give you the exact location

I have an xbox 360 and live works and always has. my internet works too. but for the past 2 weeks ive been trying to connect to ps3 network and it doesnt work!!!?? it cant contain the IP adress. why is that> how do i fix it?
well you might have entered somthin wrong on the form for the wlan. sounds like the ip adress.

I wanted to know becuase my ip adress got banned from this one website [Lol]& I was wondering if I changed it I could get back on it,but I don't want to change nothing around about my computer
some advice.. dont change it if you dont know what you are typing in because then you will not get any internet access what-so-ever. it happened to me once.
If you do, you will lose access to your internet. Whats the sense of doing that?
the "sence in that" is to teach noobs no toplay with things they dont understand
If your ip got banned, then it was probably for good reason…
of course theres always proxys….

Imagine I want to share, say my thoughts, on international fashion events, where I have contact with 'celebrities' and funny or interesting info, like an 'insider' agent and would post these on a blog. Would it be possible, computer/technology wise for someone to link or find out my ip adress, etc? thanks!!!

Go to your local area connection icon, the double computer icon. Double click it and you get "general" and "support".
Cick support, you will see your IP address.
Is easy.
If you are running Windows, type "ipconfig".
If you are running a version of Linux, type "/sbin/ifconfig".
